May 017 We have begun a new citizen science project that will track the phenology of the Eastern Redbud in the city of Toronto. We'll be watching for timing of flowers, leaves, seed pods, and a variety of species that use this tree as a foraging or nesting resource. Please join us if you have a tree or know of one you like to visit!
May 017 Field season begins! Our first team of undergraduate researchers surveying for spring pollinators in the Rouge Park, Canada's first Urban National Park. These students are interested in the direct and indirect impacts of invasive Dog Strangling Vine on wild bee communities and their work is supported by the TD Undergraduate Research Opportunity Fellowship.
017!! I have accepted a position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough starting July 1. Many new exciting projects to come!
